For the last two years, members of the German Valley Historical Museum have taken a "field trip" to another museum and then completed the event with a visit to a local restaurant. On November 16, 2019, we traveled to Freeport, Illinois to visit the Stephenson County Historical Museum. Members enjoyed a 2-hour tour given to us by Dale. We visited the Taylor home, log cabin, schoolhouse, and the farm and toy museum. We finished off the fun with a delicious meal at Rafters near Lena, Illinois.
